At the heart of our work is a commitment to raising premium miniature Jersey calves through a unique blend of veterinarian (Cameon) and lifetime rancher (Joe). But it’s truly a family endeavor - our five daughters are deeply involved in the daily care of our calves - lovingly raising and halter training each calf, from day one, to be gentle and well-socialized setting the foundation for healthy companions ideal for small family farms and homesteads.

Our genetics are carefully selected for health, longevity, and milk production traits — and we’re proud to have become one of the largest, if not the largest, miniature Jersey breeders in the U.S. as of 2024! We’re also proud to have pioneered the breed in Europe and to be a leading global source of miniature Jersey embryos, helping families and farms around the world.

We’re deeply passionate about helping others begin their miniature Jersey and milking journey, and we’re here to offer mentorship and support every step of the way. When families aren’t able to make the trip to meet us and their calf in person, we work closely with a trusted husband-and-wife professional team that ensures a smooth journey to their new homes - reaching families across the country, including Hawaii.

Our story began in 1998 with two commercial cows, Molly and Bessy. Since then, our original operation—Ohmes Cattle Company—has grown into a large, thriving cow-calf operation on an adjacent farm to our miniature Jersey herd nestled in sweet Southern Missouri. Our cows enjoy a natural life on green grass, living as they were meant to.

We’ve remained committed to one goal: improving genetics generation after generation to produce healthy, long-living cows. We have taken our love for cows, proven history of continually improving a breed and our love of milk and homesteading to dairy cows which led to our endeavors raising miniature Jerseys.

Each one of our “girls” is a part of the family.
